yeah i usually end up not calling what we’re doing web3 for this reason. and “self-certifying” is way too wonky a term. we want the social web to work more like emails, rss, xmpp — dependable, open web1 protocols. with some nice portability properties lent by keys, content addressing, merkle trees.
