this is amazing, i'm not ready for it?...

Yay Swifties! I'm going to the Eras Tour this Sunday!!! Love the self-identification into the community. Wish we could join multiple communities though

You can! All handles lead back to the same account - @mozzius.bsky.london should still lead back to my profile

true! but we stop being listed on the /community page if we change our handle to something else

Ah true - need to figure out a good solution for that. Unfortunately if I show everyone, there are some spammers who never even set their handle to it at all. Happy to hear ideas on this though

could it behave like the bsky app currently does? i.e. like you said, have previous handles still linked to your did until someone else claims it. still somewhat vulnerable to spammers mass claiming old handles though.

You know what I’ll do that, but I’ll also add a report button too. Very much worried about hate speech/harassment etc

maybe can limit any given did to having only one handle listed in the community

Oh 100%, very good idea

v excited for my future as a swiftie

I love this. I had a similar idea (for a different group), as I think community handles could be a pretty popular thing in the future

Create a Community Handle for your community

What group was that? The tool is open source and pretty easy to set up -> swifties.social/create-your-own
