Ah looking it up, I was right in the official sense. But obviously makes sense if euro is the de facto currency since it’s basically just Spain

yeah totally. not official, but very common to just take it and exchange it across the border. also lmao it's wild how as you approach the border it's littered with graffiti everywhere that says "Gibraltar es español!"
