Currently stuck on whether to either send your refresh token to my server so I can check mute status (yikes) or just send all notifs anyway (double yikes)

unanswered question though is: how on earth do you respect blocks and mutes??

hmmmm this is Fun. may I suggest option 3: have the app periodically sync mute lists with your own server, as an opt-in thing

no need for full account access, and falls back to option 2 if a user doesn't want to give you their mutes

Definitely not the first one. I thought all the push systems allowed your app to briefly boot on receipt and do some work? Can that be used to filter notifications with a local list?
