Have you read any decent pieces that make a technically literate & credible AND socially literate & compelling case for how federation ought to work *in practice*? Asking for a friend because as with so much tech politics I can explain the technical mechanics but not the civics use-case.

I witnessed several waves of ostentatious “I can no longer countenance Twitter” exoduses to various No Nazis Club instances, which is sweet & virtuous on the face of it but like… what is your No Nazis Club about. What justifies and determines the investment & maintenance of this ‘community’.
