Holy shit didn’t realise you’d started yours so recently. That’s crazy, it took me months to get to that stage

The other client just surprised me because I’d literally never heard of it before it showed up lol

lol I mean tbf skychat's desktop layout leaves a little something to be desired but other than that I think you're really overplaying the fugliness. They're good clients, Brent!

I guess it just feels overly constrained? like the nav bar at the side is just icons etc. I think the main issue imo is when you view a thread, the side nav disappears (compared to bsky.app, where the "shell" remains at all times). I feel like expected behaviour would be not to do that

it's come a long way since I last check it out though. could see myself using it tbh

I think just icons is fine, don't think spelling out the names adds anything other than "look at me using your horizontal screen space". Regarding the "shell", that's a side-effect of individual "pages" being stackd on-top of each other. Not happy with it either. Changing it is lots of work.

oh yeah icons are fine, just an example of the narrowness of the layout. yep - had the same issue (except with bottom tabs) in the early versions of graysky. took a loooot of work to fix that

OTOH I can go as deep as I want without losing any scroll positions on any page. That must count for something. Anyways, thanks for the feedback, I'll go back to my cave now, curl up and cry a little.
