thoughts on making the handle of the profile preview sheets free-floating?

ah just realised that this change means you can see the navigation happen in the background. nvm, probably not worth the added complexity anyway

It would be great if I could it free-floating again after I’ve swiped up. There is no way back after the profile is in Full View

yeah it becomes a full page after that. although that's kinda unavoidable since you then have to pull down to refresh

Yeah, that’s a weird experience. I slide the upper fourth and somewhere below something moves. Can’t you insert a handle into the interface. Or make the Element of the posts a seperate thing where I can scroll and get the pull to refresh gesture.

Is there a reason to have the handle at all? If you look at first party apps like Safari & the history panel, or Messages and the contact cards; Apple has dropped them.

You've got 'swipe up to see more' on the area that is cropped out by the design, so I'm not sure you'd need the additional chrome so long as it looks like a card (i.e. pulls up, etc.) when it opens?

Is the handle only an indicator or can it be interacted with? The proximity is good enough but it also makes sense for it to be contained inside the sheet, although it’d be best if the handle wasn’t there in the first place—not sure how iOS/Android handle accessibility when animation is disabled.

It’s the same as normal just with a transparent background instead of a white strip
