Made a lil tool for resolving a Bluesky handle to a DID. Also gives you some fun extra info like their PDS and join date

ScaryTwink™ 🔜gpn,EFWhat does that mean
1 1Samuelit finds your DID - that is to say, the unique identifier your account has behind the scenes
1 1ScaryTwink™ 🔜gpn,EFOhh ok
1Kuba Suder 🇵🇱🇺🇦I love it ❤️
Would be nice to have some kind of progress indication while it's loading, because I first typed a handle and pressed 'enter' and nothing happened for like 2-3 seconds, no browser loading indication in the URL bar and nothing on the page either
1 1SamuelGood shout, I’ll add a spinner
1 1Samuel@mackuba.eu done :)

Rebel Alliance Briefing RoomThat's cool stuff. I like being able to look up history like that. what about the code to allow me to embed my profile(not a post) on a website or blog? I just want to showcase my posts to entice people to go to bsky
3 1Samuelthat would be cool
haileyI think @mary.my.id has something for this?
1 1Samueljust the one post, rather than a feed. cool tho
mary🐇@mary.my.id· 24 Jan 2024looking to embed Bluesky posts on blogs? I've made a custom element that lets you do exactly that

greg abbott’s tearsYou can use any server-side RSS parser to poll the RSS feed and output the posts to your blog:
bsky.app/profile/did:...
https://bsky.app/profile/did:plc:34upm5q5tnzyhbd25tykv6km/rss
bsky.app
Rebel Alliance Briefing RoomI tried to embed that and couldn't get it to work.
1greg abbott’s tearsYou could also try something like the Python SDK to read each post, which can then be converted to HTML for output:
github.com/MarshalX/atp...

Rebel Alliance Briefing Roomif I knew python and how to do that.. you got a good idea then.
