Big news (which no one saw coming) - I've joined Bluesky! I'll be working on the app alongside the rest of the frontend team. This account is probably going to be a bit more work-centric from now on - I've made a new account with my old handle if you want to follow me there

Q: What's going to happen to Graysky? A: I'm going to keep it alive and maintained, but I'm not planning on adding any ambitious new features - I'll be putting my efforts into making the official app the best it can be! If anyone is interested in taking over the app, please do let me know

Are you on iOS or Android? On iOS it's pretty easy to translate post text inline using the system text selection thing (at least now that text can be selected in the app :)

Android phone & tablet ☠️ Still best to just have this be a native feature where possible, imo, especially on a social app/site which has a lot of communication between people speaking different languages. If it's not possible, at least the current methods are functional enough, just much slower.

Thank you for all the hard work done in Graysky. It's a great alternative to the official app. Can't wait to see what you will do now as part of Bluesky.

Congrats Samuel. Are you taking suggestions? Because I would love to see you move that circle up-carat thingy away from the bottom left. I'm left handed and it gets in the way of scrolling. It's the biggest reason why I use graysky.
