you can now embed your posts in web pages! (the "embed" tool is available on web only at the moment) this does respect your "only logged in users can see this" settings. shout out to @samuel.bsky.team @bnewbold.net @danabra.mov @haileyok.com for getting this done

Greetings. I'm still waiting for what seems like an easy function to implement: profile popups for any time I mouse over a user's name. Sometimes I just want to know who the person is instead of having to click through to find out—and then get taken out of a thread.

We shipped that yesterday!! :)

So that means users will see this function within the next few days or weeks? I ask because I just moused over your name and there was no popup.

Have you refreshed the page? Should be there already

Barry Lyons 13 Apr 2024

[refreshed] Nope. Not happening. I'm typing on an iMac, using Firefox. If that helps any.

Oh are you hovering over the name or the profile picture? It only does it for the profile picture

Holy cow, I'm an idiot. I never thought to do that. Looks great! [slap hands emoji] Okay,so here's your next project, if I may: a "view" function for something I just posted. Sometimes a post doesn't show immediately at the top. But I want to see it right away to make sure I don't want to delete it.

Never mind. I see that I can just click on that visual doohickey (sans words) that appears at the bottom left of my computer screen after I post a comment.
