It's a shame that the EU, Germany to be specific, doesn't want to foster a healthy software ecosystem which could be labeled as "made in europe". It'd be nice to have an alternative to the US
1 3LouAnother thing to note is the mastodon community framing Eugen as the bad guy for seeking ways to sustainably fund mastodon's development. Not to be a hyper capitalist but some people need to get their act together when it comes to getting paid for your work.

Me, feeding 2 people and 2 cats on a 60k EUR salary without benefits (because technically self-employed), reading those comments that claim a 501(c)(3) is some kind of nefarious scheme to hide money 😐
