I still remember how I felt during these incredible few seconds in the theater when this came out. I don't think it's possible for me to forget.

The Last Jedi is a flawed movie, IMO. I do appreciate, however, that it had ideas and the guts to go all-in on them. Its big moments are easily the best of the sequel movies. (Excepting maybe when Rey catches the lightsaber in Force Awakens.) RoS was just kind of a mediocre greatest hits album.
