📢 1.85 is rolling out now (2/6) UI improvements! We’ve been tuning the UI to make it feel better and improve clarity. ✨ We updated the icons on posts. ✨ We improved the post composer on mobile. ✨ Labels on posts now use the avatar of the labeler, making them much visually shorter.
A post by Shreyan (@shreyanjain.net)
The post has two labels. One is a keyboard, another says "Changed Handle"
The post says "We are so back"

Hairline everywhere! I also love how when you tap on the buttons they have a little active background. You guys rock

I suppose they’re meant to be subtle? let me know if that’s an accessibility concern though, we could probably add some sort of toggle if it’s needed

the hairlines could use a bit of brightness in dark mode and vice versa in dark mode, I think the thinness of the line made the contrast worse

fuckface "squeaky" from:me
there's still a bug on web for certain hi-DPI form factors where the bottom border of the tab bar has a visible gap between it and the bar itself, stemming from Chrome artificially scaling the size of "1px" for border width but not positioning

So far it's been great. I've been having some issues with the composer on mobile for a while since it keeps over writing what I'm typing for some reason. But this new one feels smooth and quite good so far. I will keep testing but this is definitely an improvement. Thank you!

Oh nice, it works with the on-screen keyboard properly again on Android, I don't have to dismiss it to add an image now. Seems a bit more responsive as well.

I’ll take credit for it even though I didn’t know that 😅 just switched to using the proper modal primitives

Well, those work correctly, and whatever was being used before didn't reliably. So thanks.
