maybe I should do a Cloudflare rewrite or something. idk, I wrote it so long ago when traffic was a tiny fraction of what it is today

Cloudflare’s pretty good if your stack can target it with relatively little effort; I have mostly found (of all things) Oracle Cloud (stop vomiting!) to be a really good landing place for stuff that’s too Node-y

yeah thing is I want people to be able to deploy it with minimal technical skill. Tbh I should probably just bit the bullet and make it a SaaS thing

That way lies understandable but very real madness, I worked at Render for a bit and that was a thesis I tried to push for a while - shadow IT or small-scale usage - but once they rolled out their pricing tiers that one wasn’t gonna happen

the hosting provider lifecycle: offer an alternative to predatory practices become popular for being honest owners cash out predatory practices adopted

😬😬 can’t image optimisation be done in browser/app? (Assuming you’re downscaling/compressing)

Samuel
It’s caching the images it serves and downscales them to a better size to make them faster. But you have to pay for each unique image it caches
