how notifications are gonna work(?): 1. send login token to my server 2. my server periodically pings bsky api 3. my server sends push notifications man it would be so good if 3rd party apps could like register a webhook so my server didn't have to touch the tokens and could just forward notifs

@samuel.bsky.team I was looking for info on whether we have webhooks set up, or if there’s any ongoing work, and found this thread. I assume it’s not implemented yet, right?

Sorry if this is an obvious question, but so that means that if I want to setup, say a serverless function as a webhook handler, I need to setup a consumer first, which then it will start sending events to the handler?

I understand I could just setup the consumer and do everything from there, but I was looking for a way to do this in a more event driven approach

yeah, you will need a websocket consumer no matter what
