It's the tab bar coming down with the timeline and the whole header expanding that's really feeling off for me. If the timeline itself pulled down, that would be less "special" but also would work better and be less jarring. Maybe do the icon transform still, but the header thing...no sorry.

No, that still feels weird. Like logically I'm wanting to refresh the feed I'm looking at, so that's the thing that should move most during the pull to refresh behaviour.

Yeah. I'm describing more or less the animation I'm gonna do in morpho when I get round to it here. The current one is the stock one, basically the same as the current bluesky one.

yeah I just have an aversion to the tab content separating from the tab bar. imo threads feels a lot smoother

Interesting. Bc my inclination is really the opposite. A compromise, though i have no idea how to animate it, would be to pull the current tab down with the content but leave the others in place. Like it stretches vertically and the label sticks to the same position relative to the content.

make the active tab follow the content but leave the other tabs in place, showing clearly what is actually being refreshed. (this is half a shitpost but i am honestly interested in what it would look like)

ah i guess i misinterpreted your post as the feed itself moving down, not the active tab with it. my bad
