cool! does this mean you're using a Bluesky PDS as the PDS for your Whtwnd blog? is that standard when using Whtwnd, and the only thing Whtwnd is running is the AppView + application? also, are you just calling the Whtwnd AppView API to get the data for each post and displaying in a site u wrote?

I’m not using whitewind’s servers in any way, I’m just storing the data on my PDS and fetching it directly. You can think of my Nextjs site as a little AppView

I do, but I mean the nextjs site doesn't interact with whtwnd's servers in any way, it's just direct to the PDS

gotcha I knew that, I guess I just forgot that you can't have a separate PDS for each app 😂

It uses the @whtwnd.com Lexicon. Hmm. Now I want to figure out how to also support @frontpage.fyi Lexicon link posts. And for that matter @jglypt.net yes, a matched “promote” post that is a bsky microblog would be good too /me spawns 75 ideas without trying it myself yet

“I'm planning on writing up some of the more interesting stuff I've done working at Bluesky - “ so far done working at Bluesky right?

😭 wait I totally should've used svelte that said, I did have a very specific need for Vercel's image optimization via next/image - bad practice to hotlink to the PDS's blob store
