everyone always says “wow you get so much more engagement on bluesky” and while thats probably true for 99% of people I am not one of those people for some reason (I have a 20x smaller following on Twitter)

There's quite a few people who are still hesitant to make the swap over here or stay permanently. I think if/when certain features get implemented like uploading GIFs, sending media via DMs, and notifications for individuals (usually the lil bell symbol) we'll see a LOT more willing to come on over!

not saying thats not true but I’ve seen the list of things that people are saying they’re waiting for change so many times over the last 6 months as we add all these features that I don’t think it’s a matter of just adding these features. once we add them there’ll be more

Literally almost every single comment I've had when trying to talk up BlueSky has been overwhelmingly positive, especially in relation to mental health, but the same few suggestions...I wouldn't call em "complaints" personally, but those are like the Top 3 requested features, 4th is bookmarks

--4th/5th is actually a tie between bookmarks and being able to privatize your account, but even once GIF uploads come along you'll see a lot more retention of people's attention here

i think as one of the developers ur a few thousand times more likely to be followed by someone just following the default prompts than the average user everyone else is actually opt-in

I am having a reflection of my real situation on Twitter: I don't have a fanbase. I have about 1200 followers of pure commitment, because my posts really have no reach, out of 10 only one has at least 1 like. It makes me wonder if I should really keep doing what I do or quit forever.
