JauntyWunderKind"Ecsaping the trap of the now" - seeing more broadly - was already a fundamental challenge, for maintaining ourselves & our civilizations.
Social media has drastically tightened the loop around the now. Creating longer term attention structures is needed for the noosphere to form feedback systems.
JauntyWunderKindHey, one issue I have with Bsky right now. It is super super hard to find good things again. I have a ton of likes, which I'd love to go through, but my only means of searching is to scroll scroll scroll and watch (especially fu to browsers "find on page" not finding new matches as page updates)...
1JauntyWunderKind"from:likes" would be an incredibly powerful tool to letting the good be found & come out again!
Sakuya Izayoisubmit a pull request that changes the feed: it picks a post at random and puts it on everyone's feed. It would probably be meaningless, maybe in a language you don't speak, maybe it is just a word or keyboard smash, maybe it is substantive about something you don't care about... But it'd be funny.
