I'm betting it was either
1) A thin skinned trillionaire couldn't handle seeing "Blue Sky" trend on his platform and instituted a DOS attack.
2) The infrastructure was less than elegant handling a sudden, massive influx of new users.
1 is possible, but most likely is was 2.
Hey Sam, I'm doing an assessment for my degree and I wanted to ask a question that would be a big help. Is read-only mode Bluesky's minimum service continuity objective? I'm writing about this outage for one of the questions and this would help me answer how well the response lines up with ITIL!
Samuel - hey, I'm new to Blue Sky. Would love to see more new, small accounts that might actually interact with me on my Discover feed. Anyway to make that happen?
We shouldn't all have to follow developers to know about this stuff. There should be notices from an official account. Please. Users will be less perturbed if there's comms.
Thanks Samuel. I'm guessing the servers are straining to cope with the massive influx of new members and traffic.
I'm loving it here so far, keep up the good work.
