how atproto works

ok, let's break it down. at the core of atproto is the data. it lives own your own computer (or someone hosts it for you). think of it as a hard drive with JSON files on it data is structured (i.e. has a type), and can references other records on other peoples' computer with a URI like a hyperlink

In my data storage, there is a post and a like. the like has an arrow to a post in your data storage

What happens when there is network disruption between the PDS and the relay? Does the PDS queue up the updates so it can catch up later when the connection is restored?

ATProtocol seems similar, goal wise, to Solid .. except that even PDS authentication seems decentralized. Been toying with collaborative design tools using semantic metamodels .. AT might be a great foundation. Would love a course on AT. On that note, an AT based MOOC platform would be awesome.

Actually, this looks like a pretty good tutorial. It operates within the bsky ecosystem, which is probably the best place to start, bc all of the infrastructure is in place.
