I could be focusing on the wrong thing when it comes to the showcase, but I believe it may be that the display name and username of the account you're previewing appears at the top of the screen after scrolling past their user info and into their posts.
Much respect. I built this same style of collapsible header with sticky tab nav using reanimated like 5 years ago for the artsy.net app and it took ages and was a hot mess of complexity under the hood. This looks great.
On Android, there's no inertia scroll. The page transitions on iOS are clean and whimsical, on Android, they're clunky and awkward.
Android users love the control they get, but they often - in my opinion - trade fit, finish, and finesse for small areas of customization, like fonts.
Android has had inertial scrolling for a decade. My Samsung Galaxy S23 runs at 120fps and all the transitions are perfect. What you say was true maybe a decade ago, but not today. Flagship Android phones are just as good as iOS devices in terms of UX polish.
I’ve always loved the inertial scrolling of iPhone. Everything else about iPhone could be a total mess but would be difficult to walk away from the silky smooth real-like physics of the iPhone feel-experience.
