Some taxes are more efficient than others. The most efficient tax is a land value tax.

The trouble with “taxes are good” is that it still depends on a functional bureaucracy which uses taxes in the best interest of the tax payers efficiently. Taxes can be bad if they’re misappropriated. I wonder if we need better systems for demonstrating the success of taxation, so people can see it
