seeing more gamedev content on discover recently, it's nice :)

nothing wrong with furry content, it should just go into the right topic! if you like `t-furry`, you're probably missing out on quality posts when they get misclassified

im actually not aware of these classifications, is this part of a labeler youre working on?

i believe it's the discover algorithm. similar to how twitter used to work, it identifies what is trending within a specific community

I continue to drag people over here and some run back after being scared off by the discovery feed (which I seldom check), then I say 'let me show you the moderation and filter options' & I get a few back. Not sure if there is a way to make onboarding so that the filters get set up out of the gate.

I'll work with the next person that pings me to see what their settings are and what they saw that sent them scampering - in the past I have just pointed them to the moderation settings. Screencap of my last interaction (over 'there') which frankly seems mild so may not be a good sample πŸ™ƒ
Screencap of a interaction with a user on Twitter where I showed them the moderation tools available on Bluesky

Oh hell yeah! Any accounts you recommend following? My discover feed is still preeeeeeety dry in terms of game dev content. Lots and lots of gaming and web dev content though, so it's almost kinda there lol

this was not an intentional curatorial decision on my part, the algo just figured it out (which is exciting to me!)

There are like a billion of those all the time. Just look at a feed or the hashtag or search the words. My bluesky is nothing but game dev stuff and I hate Wednesdays and Saturdays because of people trying to turn things into Twitter with those.
