just realised iOS apps now let you do the swipe back gesture from anywhere on the screen, rather than just the left edge. nice! most apps ended up reimplementing this anyway so I’m glad the default is changing for the better

looks like it’s coming to react-native-screens 🔜 can’t wait! full screen back gesture always came with a bunch of compromises and caveats in RN so I’m so happy it’s been fixed once and for all

hmm I see the argument. tbh I feel this mostly on the GitHub app but less so on the Apple ones - maybe this is on GitHub to rethink how many buttons they’re putting up there
