lol at work we were looking at some app like "how did they get that little keyboard to show up" and turns out they just hadn't built an iPad app

Also, the new Web App support in Safari 26 makes the web app just as usable as a native app on iPad, even when fullscreen.

the android app also just silently closes itself every now and then for me... i assume those are crashes of some kind. been happening a couple times a day for like... a week or so?

Yeah I don’t know what it’s doing exactly (could be running out of memory but that seems weird?) but sometimes it will just totally lock up and become a white screen. It’s basically unusable and always has been. Even running it as a PWA I have to basically kill it and reload it constantly.

Hmmm, maybe I haven’t used it as much on my iPad as I do on my laptop/phone. Does it perform the same as a tab in Safari as it does when running in PWA-mode from the Home Screen? I’lol play around with it more, but it seems to work fine for me on both iPad and docked in MacOS.

I've been wondering, what keeps bsky from making that same layout the ipad one? Does react native have some odd behaviour I'm not aware of, or is it just another thing they'll need to test before each release?
