I legit lost my streak due to my timezone not matching my local timezone. Was a 600+ day streak, and I missed it by 5-10 minutes or something, because it uses local days.

ended up email support going "hey, I don't live on CEST, I'm on EST, which means my duolingo days are tiny" and then the next day my streak magically reappeared.
