Hey, I’m literally answering people‘s questions on here about how to find out who to vote for for Judge. There’s basic voting and then there’s advanced level. And even smart informed people need help on ballot measures and hyper local races but yes, they know who to vote for senate.
To be fair, there are a lot of people on here who are performatively not voting because the puppies aren’t perfect and so they assert that “diarrhea forever” is equally as bad. But you’re not getting them to vote with a reminder anyway.
For all the fascination we have with the trolley problem, there are a surprising number of people on this bsky dot app who haven't internalized its two key lessons: (a) an option doesn't have to be perfect to be better and (b) deciding not to act does not absolve you of the consequences of inaction.
Josh Turek says he didn't vote for a Democratic ticket, and instead voted republican for several races.
And yet trans people are vilified for doing the same to him?
To be clear, what I'm saying is subtly but importantly different than VBNW. I'm saying VNW. Sadly, we're in a two-party system until we move to ranked voting, so there are only two trolley tracks – people need to spend a few minutes educating themselves and then make the best choice even if it's bad
