THE UPDATE IS HERE, YOU CAN STOP BUGGING ME FOR IT NOW
🚨 NEW ANDROID RELEASE 🚨
The long-awaited android update is here!
Update your apps through the Play Store or join the beta here:

Image uploads aren't working on Android an the error message is completely useless (react native's fault)
In my research people have blamed:
HTTP connections - not the case
Flipper interference - not using flipper
File needs mime type - tried, nope
File needs to begin with file:/// - it is already
1 1so uh. if anyone else has been using uploadBlob on android/react native. please let me know. I'm worried that the list of people who that applies to is probably me, Paul, and Ansh lol
1 1I think the issue is that most other people online are using FormData but the API doesn't support that
1Fix was to remove <StatusBar style=“light”> from the tab, and instead use imperative methods inside of useFocusEffect so that it gets cleaned up when you change tabs
It’s currently sitting below the tab level. So if a tab switches the color to white, it won’t get reset when you change tab
