Now if only I could figure out how to allow swipes to pass through the bio text, while still allowing link presses…

tamagui text does 😎 you can do this of course, but its problematic whenever theres a bunch of links. people expect to be able to scroll the *whole* region, but anything (follow button, tab bar, etc) isnt... i *know* it isn't and constantly find myself getting "stuck"

so i have a custom header that i use (animates the image up and away, moves the avatar up, etc) this works great with or w/o this library. the annoying part i *didnt* want to have to deal with on my own is getting the bio area to not have to be a part of the list...

Ohhh I see. Wait, so you could some sort of insane layout where the header has a hole it in for the bio text, and then the tabs, and then the rest of the list. Interesting…

yea...its a bad solution though. i haven't looked at that lib's codebase extensively yet so...i might try this out tomorrow (today lol why am i awake right now)

i THINK (with question marks, quotes, bold, asterisks...) reanimated might be the solution here...well i know it is but the question is how...that lib makes it seem like a nested scroll view, but it isn't of course. maybe if we animate the "collapse" of the bio?

I think the header part needs to be covered by a gesture handler, which somehow splits gestures to apply them to both the header and the scroll view at the same time. Then all our problems would be solved

hmmm..that also made me think, doesn't the gesture handler library have a pressable component? does that handle some of the weird issues we are having? *opens docs*

so not listed in the docs...theres a TouchableOpacity and a TouchableHighlight...let me try something out here

no dice on the touchable opacity...this here looks promising though, will read through really need to just check out the code for this lib and see what they do, i suspect a better solution may be in order (likely hackier but IF IT WORKS IT WORKS)
