yeah there was a big backlash to expanding the Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) to the whole of London, which fines cars according to how polluting they are. Yet he still wins with surprisingly large margins anyway lmfao

😒 I ride a bike sometimes for fun, but I like getting around by car and I really don't like restrictions 😛 But I guess it makes sense if it's scaled based on the "cleanness" (not sure what the rates and levels are?).

Yeah it’s mostly old, large diesel cards that are impacted the most. My small car for example is not affected at all. But the main thing is wtf are you doing driving in London at all, it’s faster to get pretty much literally anyway via world-class public transit

I’ve done a fair amount of driving in London and it absolutely sucks. It’s just not built for cars at all, and there’s no parking anyway so why bother

Yeah, I think it is pretty cramped there on the streets… and your metro is really good. We *might* finally start working on our first line here around 2028-29 if all goes well 😅 (the previous administration was firmly against it somehow because they said it doesn't make financial sense…)
