the gap between the left profile pic and the start of the notification content seems too wide.

this looks a little insane, but below the notifications panel you can see where the post content begins, it’s much less of a gap. currently feels inconsistent in the notifications tab. personally i’d drop the left column entirely, shift the profile pic with the others.

I am also very sure that the left most avatar is the latest one and everything further right are previous interactions. This is also an improvement as it clearly shows the newest interaction more prominent than older ones. 👍

yeah, there are. It's the same idea though, without much difference.

I'd also like a tab for likes, since that's the most noise, then on the others just have "N likes received" every so often

we do much larger groups now, so likes get bundled into groups of 100+ if needed

yeah, but that's only per post, not per user or per timeframe.

feels a lot less compact, which makes skimming harder without filtering.

Aren't you an iOS user? It's way less common over there because there's a system-wide "go to top" action. I'm mostly neutral on the in-app button itself.

for notifications especially, you can press the tab button itself to go back to top. I’m more sympathetic to the need for it on other pages
