Zed people (Zedders?) how can I make it so `#/components/Typography` is always the first option, `react-native` is the second, and never suggest reanimated internals
turns out you can actually make decentralised social that doesn’t make a bunch of fundamental compromises that makes the UX suck ass. who knew!
4 5 150anti-climactic = good, to be clear. your reaction to being on a different appview should be “wait, what changed? it seems to be exactly the same in every single way?”

react-native-windows/macos is insanely goated. it’s like if you took the best parts of electron (getting to write code in typescript, the best language) and removed the worst part (the web browser)
8 2 87I learned recently that the reason Microsoft maintains react-native-macos is for Office - obviously, those are multi-platform apps! might as well use React Native

The @cpsc.gov, a federal agency dedicated to keeping unsafe products out of our homes, is now under threat, say lawmakers and safety advocates.

has anything of note ever been built with Kotlin Multiplatform? I didn’t see anything I’ve ever used on their showcase page
14 5 67— POSTS DELETED —
It appears I was using a region-locked version of the Forbes app and most likely not the one referred to in the showcase. I have deleted the post criticising the app, since I don’t think it was necessarily KMP
2 15anyway in conclusion, seems like KMP is a reasonable but not super ambitious tool for sharing non-UI Kotlin code between platforms. Compose MP is the actual RN competitor, but is too early to really dunk on and has not got much adoption yet. thread over, goodnight!
3 13heartbreaking: I fucked up my PDS config so I can’t make fun of Shreyan until I fix it 💔
2 3 107nothing better than upgrading dependencies and ripping out all the hackfixes from 5 months ago that got upstreamed

coolest atproto project bar none. correctly identifies that github is a centralised social layer on an otherwise decentralised protocol, and atprotoifies the social layer
