*thinking really hard* algebraic chess notation is a blockchain
I mean that’d be cool, might be possible, but the nice property about chess is that you can objectively validate the board state from the move list - there’s no secrets

Changing the color scheme re-renders the Tiptap editor. However, by default, it collapses whitespace via HTML rules when initializing the composer, and thus when it has to recreate the text input f...

been thinking about this. I think the best form factor for a PDS is bsky.social + a phone app that holds your PLC keys and also performs automatically repo backups. so you can just adversarially migrate with one button press while still using a big hosting provider for uptime, for free
5 9 72I made a PoC for the key holding part: github.com/mozzius/deme... and @retr0.id is working on adversarial migration tooling for goat. it’s all coming together!

anyway, point is the great strength of this architecture is not in its “active” state, but in its “passive” state - you can just show up with your repo somewhere else, without asking permission. so just use bsky.social right up until the point you don’t want to

just learnt that the USA has two Portlands. which one is the one people are always making fun of
29 2 8728 years later has the most bizarre ending to a film I’ve seen in a long time. wtf are they cooking for the next one…
6 33OTA fix is rolling out - now, when you tap on a push notification, they actually take you to the post/user/etc!
13 18 141how could i forget - post controls are now 1px font size smaller! possibly my favourite change
this also has like a billion minor things we’ve been working on, such as
- threaded replies redesign (rolling out in the coming days)
- upgraded React Native from like 3 versions ago to latest
- upgraded navigation - @danabra.mov your PR for the back gesture shadow from last year made it in!

if you use Android, has the new update broken autocapitalisation for you?
are you getting the thing where pressing activity notification push notifications are just opening the app to the home screen without opening the post? if so, are you using ios or android?
17 4 49ohhhhhh. it’s the pop behaviour change I think. looks like the implicit screen pop behaviour of v6 was accidentally doing garbage collection when you were clicking around the app lmao
v7 always adds new screens, so memory use just keeps building
1 1 15@mackuba.eu pretty sure the behaviour change you were looking for was the exact thing that caused the perf issue 😭
I know this commit! I like this commit 😅
basically turns out the only reason this app ever worked at all was due to completely jank unintentional behaviour lmao. we need to reenable the jank for it not to explode
