But the new one is personalized somehow, with things mixed in based on your likes or follows or something, right? So in logged out mode they use the same algo and just disable the personalized parts?
I mean that open one. Is the public feed just unauthed or custom to a specific feed? Like, could they show different things to a brand new user with no customization vs somebody logged out?
Also, I follow @jaz.bsky.social's What's Hot feed, which I think is a fork of the old pre-Discover What's Hot, and it has very different kind of content π€ WH has mostly popular posts about today's events/meme/drama, and Discover is much more random
It's strange, the whats-hot here doesn't seem to include any kind of personalization, but I'm definitely seeing personalized results in Discover - I have an impression that what's running at discover.bsky.social is not actually this but sth else, which is not in the repo: github.com/bluesky-soci...
It is said that good things come to those who wait, so I'll try very hard to believe in this saying. Or maybe Santa will lend a hand?πKeeping my eyes peeled for when Bluesky goes public on the web!
They are already visible on many platforms, like Blueskyreader / Ours / Firesky.tv etc etc etc
If you do not want others to see it, do not publish it. Privacy on the internet is an illusion (refers to each and every platform out there).
What are you talking about? I mentioned that my peers dislike the fact that when I share a direct link to a skeet, they cannot read it without logging in. Using 3rd party apps is not contemplated, the use case I was referring about is opening links to skeets from IM apps
I already explained that the intent of the post was βmany peers are disliking that they CANNOT READβ our posts. I perfectly know all posts are public and readable, I am not complaining about it at all. Now stop it
