The most irritating thing of all is Firefox Mobile supports PWAs, but after the fall of FirefoxOS many years ago, they refuse to add it to desktop. Firefox Mobile also has this collections thing... which *does not* sync to desktop.
Like... huh???
It's always funny to me that for a brief while, even during IE11, Trident was the only actual standards compliant rendering engine that also had features nobody else had.
oh i mean, sure if you add a hls library lol. we use hls.js for bsky. but safari/chrome support just whacking a .m3u8 in a <video> tag with zero dependencies
if you wanna verify:
const video = document.createElement('video')
console.log(video.canPlayType('application/vnd.apple.mpegurl') !== '' ? 'yep' : 'nope')
I have vendored and substantially modified it lol. basically took the rust core and integrated it directly rather than using all the js it had around it
I know that I should figure out how to file a big report, but there's something wrong in the line-counting or layout in Android
Look at this screenshot of taniel's post on pixel 9, latest bluesky. There's a missing line.
bsky.app/profile/tani...
With 45% of ballots now counted, the opposition (Tisza) is leading 52% to 39%, and is projected based on current results to win a supermajority of 2/3rds that’d allow them to amend the constitution.
I think they clone the video with that embed, or at least when I looked at it the video loaded from their CDN.
It's special-cased on bsky.app URLs too, unfortunately. So forks don't get any of that special embed treatment yet.
